Responsible future for mining in Brazil

Aura is a gold and copper mining company focused on project development and operations in the Americas. The Borborema project will be built in the Aura’s open pit mine located in Currais Novos, around 170 km from the capital of Rio Grande do Norte and will have the capacity to process 2 Mtpy of ore. Commercial production is expected to start in the third quarter of 2025. The mine has an expected production of 748,000 ounces (oz) of gold over its lifecycle, initially estimated at 11 years, with the possibility of additional production increases. The estimated investment value is US$188 million.
