EST systems

An increasing proportion of our consultancy commissions involve engineering initiatives for electrical, signal and telecom systems (EST systems) within the framework of various infrastructure projects.

In recent years, we have also encountered more and more interest in our services for EST systems for the road network, airports and ports. We are constantly expanding our expertise in these areas, in order to remain one of the market's most interesting partners for infrastructure projects in our field of excellence.

We care about the environment, so it is particularly interesting to take part in projects which bring environmental benefits. For example, we have planned facilities for destroying CFCs and safety improvements for the nuclear power industry.

Analyses
Changes in our transport systems often feature major changes to the local environment, considerable upheaval for travellers and companies and costly investments. It is therefore vital, at an early stage, to carry out well-founded analyses and assessments of how the systems will work, so that the changes have their intended effect and so that the design is as cost-efficient as possible.

We handle analyses of traffic networks, railway stations, transport, traffic management systems, signal systems, operational systems and safety systems.

Computer support
The operation of our transport systems is complex, due to the huge quantities of information and the correlation between different events and systems. In analysis and planning work, as well as in day-to-day operations, computer support is necessary to ensure streamlined production.

We develop simulation and optimisation models for analysis and operations, planning systems for staff and vehicles and operational support systems.

Transport and goods handling systems
The demands on transport systems are always high, particularly in terms of accessibility, comfort, safety and economy.

A load must be handled with the care and speed which makes the best financial sense overall for the transport system. Quality requirements also mean an increase in demand for automation. We work on developing and designing complete machinery solutions and on designing parts of the transport system. Examples include trains, track replacement equipment, heavy goods vehicles and ticket machines.

Planning
Smooth project organisation is a must when expanding complex traffic systems. Power supply, signal and safety systems and telecom facilities demand a great deal in terms of design and operational reliability.

Our work in these areas focuses on planning, drawings, design, contractors' specifications, checks, inspections and commissioning.
